Onboarding wizard

The wizard is 5 steps plus a welcome and a completion page. Every optional step has a Skip button so you can finish in under a minute.

Steps

1. Workspace. Pick a name + slug. We create the workspace, set you as owner, and seed your trial wallet with 2 500 credits.
2. Niche. Choose one of eight (finance, tech, gaming, education, lifestyle, fitness, food, travel). We use this to seed your default persona's tone, pacing WPM, and hook patterns.
3. Channel. Stub a placeholder channel. YouTube OAuth happens later on the channel page (when you are ready to publish).
4. Persona. Auto-seeded from your niche. You can rename it or skip.
5. First project. A blank project so the dashboard is not empty when you land in the cockpit.

What gets created

• workspaces row with settings.niche, settings.trial, and the owner membership.
• One credit transaction with reason='signup_bonus' for 2 500 credits.
• Optionally: a channels row (status='pending', no OAuth yet), a channel_personas row, a projects row.

What does not happen

• No Stripe customer is created until you click Upgrade. The free trial uses internal credits only.
• No YouTube credentials are stored until you connect a channel.

Resuming

The wizard tracks progress in workspaces.settings.onboardingStep. If you close the tab, you can resume by hitting the same step URL or by going through the wizard again (it picks up where you left off).
